Method

Levels from moving averages, period opens, VWAP bands and the 52-week range. A level below the last price is support and a level above it is resistance. The levels are the 200-day average of daily closes; the 200-period average of closes on 3-day bars built from the daily history; the 30-week average of weekly closes; the open of the first trading day of the current month, quarter and calendar year (the previous close where a day has no open); the volume-weighted average price over the last 365 days with bands one and two standard deviations either side; and the 52-week high and low.

Levels are reference points calculated from past prices. They describe where the market has traded, not where it will go. Prices are delayed.

Not shown for BNB, because the data does not support it: VWAP lines (no volume in this data, or under a year of history).

What are the key support and resistance levels for BNB?

The lists above show the reference levels above the price (resistance) and below it (support), nearest first. They are the 200-day average, the 200-period average on 3-day bars, the 30-week average, the monthly, quarterly and yearly opens, the rolling 365-day VWAP with its one and two standard-deviation bands, and the 52-week high and low.

What is the VWAP and how are its bands drawn?

The volume-weighted average price over the last 365 days of daily bars, using the average of each day's high, low and close. The bands sit one and two volume-weighted standard deviations above and below it. Markets whose data has no volume, such as currencies and bond yields, show no VWAP lines.

What is a period open?

The opening price of the first trading day of the current month, quarter or calendar year. Where a day has no open in the data, the previous close is used.

When is a level support and when is it resistance?

A level below the last price is support and a level above it is resistance. When the price moves through a level, it changes sides.

Do these levels predict prices?

No. They are reference points drawn from where the price has traded before. Prices often react around them, but they can and do break.
