Questions

Still have a question? Get in touch.

What is an economic calendar?

A schedule of upcoming economic data releases, central bank decisions and speeches that can move markets, such as jobs reports, inflation data and interest rate announcements.

What do the impact levels mean?

Three bars (red) mark releases that have historically moved markets most, such as US payrolls, CPI and central bank rate decisions. Two bars mark medium-impact releases and one bar low-impact ones.

What are the forecast and previous values?

The forecast is the consensus expectation for the release; the previous value is the prior reading. Markets tend to react to the gap between the actual figure and the forecast.

What time zone are the times in?

Your own time zone, as set on your device. If your browser doesn't share it, or JavaScript is off, times are in US Eastern time (ET). The note above the table says which one you're seeing.

Which countries are covered?

The US, euro area, UK, Japan, China, Canada, Australia, New Zealand and Switzerland.
